Wining and dining
There is an abundance of restaurants, pubs and bars in the compact city
center of Trondheim. We would like to mention
Jonathan and the Palm Garden at
Britannia,
Egon or Kieglekroa (the oldest pub in Trondheim) at
Prinsen Hotel,
Scenario at
Clarion Grand Olav.
An excellent fish restaurant are
Havfruen. Small and intimate gourmet restaurants are
Credo
and
Emilie's.
Two recommendable restaurants with historic traditions are
Grenaderen,
close to the Cathedral, and
Tavern, situated
next to the folk museum Sverresborg. And finally, let us mention the cluster of indoor and outdoor restaurants at
Nedre Elvehavn.
Rick's Café
Rick's is special. Brand new and spectacular, situated on
Nordre Street, a one minute walk from Britannia. Night Club, Disco,
Bistro, Bar and Dining. Even outdoor entertainment. Three floors, space for 1500 persons.

Opera Olav Engelbrektsson
Midnight Opera at Steinvikholm Castle. A medieval drama based on
true historical events. Welcome to the Midnight Opera at
Steinvikholm Castle in inner Trondheimsfjord.
Each August, the opera “Olav Engelbrektsson” recreats the
dramatic 16th century event which stands out as one of the most
significant episodes in Nordic history.
