About accommodation
|
Trondheim and surrounding areas have
approximately 30 hotels and more than 2000 good quality hotel rooms. More than
1200 of these are situated in the small city center of Trondheim. For major
events and exhibitions, like Nor-Fishing and Aqua Nor, all the hotels work intimately with the
exhibition organizer, The Nor-Fishing Foundation and Tvete Arrangement, which is
given the task to administer the reservations.
In addition to regular hotels, there is also a large variety of alternate
lodging facilities. Trondheim is in national comparison a large university city,
and there are long traditions in using student campuses and lodging houses for
the visitors to events taking place during the university vacation period. Further more we use other lodging
houses, both
private, municipally owned as well as state institutional facilities.
Those who make their reservations short time before the event, will usually have
to stay in quarters like these. No problem, as long as they know their not in an
ordinary hotel.
All of these student quarters lie within the Trondheim city area, between 1 and
3 miles (1 to 5 km) from both the city center and the exhibition area.

On foot
Trondheim is small and beautiful. We pride ourselves in offering you a
‘compact’ conference; that means that from the majority of hotels you can
reach the other hotels and the conference location on foot. Walking from Radisson
SAS Royal Garden Hotel, which is in one end of the city center, and
Nidarøhallen, in
the opposite end, takes about 15 minutes, 20 at the most. So if the weather is
good, it’s just a refreshing start of the day.
Of course we also have a well developed city bus system.
